Description:
Camp Voyageur is a private camp for boys located on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in northeastern Minnesota.
Established in 1951 by Charles P Erdmann, our camp is still run by the Erdmann family. Campers are encouraged to reach their own potential in a natural surroundings. In four-short weeks campers become confident, make new friends and learn new skills to enjoy for a lifetime.
We lead small groups of one trip leader and four campers in the wilderness trip canoeing, hiking and sea kayaking varying in length of 4-12 days.
Campers spend the first few days in camp learning and reviewing camping skills before heading into the woods.
In camp campers enjoy a full range of land (soccer, ultimate Frisbee, basketball, volleyball, archery etc…) and water (sailing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, windsurfing, swimming etc..) sports. In addition we play a lot of music, create skits and make our own fun.
We’re accredited by the American Camp Association and maintain a ratio of one well trained counselor to four campers.
