Don Quijote Spanish Summer Camp Salamanca offers 3 Summer Camp programs to choose from in order for your child to have the best experience learning Spanish. Summer Camp, is a daily intense Spanish curriculum combined with family stay or residence (dorms) accommodation where campers will interact with locals and truly become Spanish. Day Camp student campers will receive the same course instructions and activity schedule as regular Summer Campers without the accommodation. Language Course Only campers will share language courses with all of the other campers minus the daily cultural activities and accommodation.
The school and residence, Colegio Calazanz provides the following facilities: - Tranquil courtyard with 5 floors of classrooms - Large conference room - Video room - Computer lab - Student residence - Dining hall - Soccer fields - Basketball court - Handball court - Volleyball court - Skating rink (roller) - Swimming pool all located on site. Resident student capacity is 250 broken into three age groups: 9-13 years old, 13-15 years old, and 16-18 years old.
The city of Salamanca, voted European Cultural Capital in 2002, is home to two universities, Salamanca University being one of the oldest in Europe, two massive cathedrals (old and new) and several ornate and architecturally stunning churches. The Plaza Mayor, regarded as one of the finest squares in Europe, is the most touted attraction as students and tourists will bask under the sun enjoying tapas and a cool drink on a cobble stone patio surrounded by Renaissance sandstone architecture. Museums, movie theaters, and shopping for the older campers or those with expressed consent of parents or guardians will fulfill all the desires to enjoy learning Spanish this summer in Salamanca with don Quijote!
