Eden Village Camp is a co-ed Jewish environmental sleepaway camp for 3rd – 12th graders, located on 248 beautiful acres touching the Appalachian Trail, 50 miles north of New York City.
Through farming, outdoor adventures, Jewish expression, yummy organic food, art music, natural building projects, working towards a zero-waste goal and more, our campers develop leadership skills, explore new interests and awaken their sense of purpose and joy.
Our campers have fun while deepening their understanding and appreciation for themselves, their communities, and the world!
The Eden Village Camp experience includes organic farming, animal care (goats, chickens, rabbits...), culinary arts, harvesting, wilderness skills, overnight trips, shelter- and fire-building, outdoor cooking, animal tracking, plant identification, hiking, biking, ropes course, natural-building projects, Science of Nature, local ecology, horticulture, herbalism, birding, swimming and boating, instructional and recreational swim in our pool and lake, canoeing, sailing, kayaking, soccer, frisbee, tennis, softball, basketball, yoga, recycled materials art, nature art, painting, paper-making, pioneer crafts, improv, creative writing, theater, photography, music, song sessions, guitar and drum lessons, songwriting and recording, meditation, yoga.
Our 248 acres of lakes, hills and woods includes facilities for 360 people, pool, stream, organic farm, bunkside edible gardens, theater, dining hall, indoor and outdoor activity spaces, hiking trails and much more. Construction and renovation at Eden Village is designed to set an example of green building.
We maintain a 3:1 camper: staff ratio. Our outstanding, multi-generational staff includes environmental educators, teachers, farmers, chefs, musicians and more. Counselors are kid specialists, with few responsibilities outside their bunks, so as to focus on each camper’s needs. Directors Yoni Stadlin and Vivian Lehrer work with year-round staff to ensure the highest standards of health, cleanliness and safety.
